About the author

S.L. Bhyrappa, one of the foremost novelists writing in Kannada, has achieved both critical and popular acclaim. He has authored 20 novels in six decades and his works have been widely translated, especially into Hindi and Marathi. He received the prestigious Saraswati Samman in 2010.

S. Ramaswamy has had an illustrious academic career in India and is the recipient of several important scholarships. He is the author of seven books in English and Kannada. He was also a Senior Fulbright Fellow at the Yale School of Drama.
