About the authors

SOUMYA MUKHERJEE is Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Maharaja Manindra Chandra College, University of Calcutta. He has been a silver medalist from Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration and was also placed in the University merit-list at the post-graduate level. He has contributed in many journals and presented papers in different seminars at national level. His areas of research interest include earnings management, financial services, accounting standards, bank risk management.

ABHIK KUMAR MUKHERJEE is Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration, The University of Burdwan. Prior to that, he was Assistant Professor of Accounting & Finance in the Department of Commerce, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata. He was placed in the University merit-list, both at graduate as-well-as post-graduate levels (Gold Medalist). He has qualified professional courses such as PGDBA (Finance) and Accounting Technician Course (CAI). His areas of interest include financial reporting and analysis, financial management, entrepreneurship, infrastructure management.
