About the Author
Dr Farokh Erach Udwadia is Consultant and Director in Charge of the Intensive Care Unit at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, India. In 1987, he received the Padma Bhushan for his contribution to medicine, and was the youngest Indian to be elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1969, at the age of 38.
