Merry Birds—An Integrated Term Course for UKG Term 1

Description

Merry Birds—An Integrated Term Course for classes LKG to 5 comprises a set of 21 books (three for each level, and one per term) with the core subjects English, Mathematics, EVS/Science, Social Studies, and General Knowledge. The content is well-graded and level-specific, thereby ensuring that the learning outcomes are imbibed in a progressive manner. It broadly conforms to the major recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP, 2020). At the pre-primary level, the course provides a curriculum that is comprehensive with content related to key learning domains—Art and Craft, Rhymes and Stories, in addition to the core subjects.

The key features of the course have been designed primarily to make learning a joyful experience, while providing opportunities for achieving the desired learning outcomes in a manner recommended by the NEP. The holistic and integrated approach of the course aims for an overall development of the students’ literacy, numeracy, communication and cognitive skills, thereby promoting creative expressions and aesthetic growth.
