Dr Jyoti Joglekar

Dr Jyoti Joglekar is Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE), Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU), Mumbai. She holds a degree in ‘Master of Computer Engineering’ from the University of Mumbai and a Bachelor degree in ‘Electrical Engineering’ from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. Dr Joglekar holds Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in the area of ‘Stereo Image Analysis of Satellite Images’. She has presented her research work in several International conferences of repute such as the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). Dr Joglekar has over 27 publications in international journals and international conferences of repute. She is a reviewer of international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (TGRS), IEEE letters, IEEE Access, IET, etc. She has been honoured as Fellow member of IETE (Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) and is a Life Fellow on Computer Vision and Imaging I at the PanIIT Institute. She is a member of Board of Studies of various eminent institutes.

She has been invited as an expert speaker in various Quality Improvement Programs (QIP), Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Short-term Training Programs (STTP) in various institutions such as IIT Bombay and Engineering institutes of Mumbai University.

Dr Joglekar won the second prize for her poster paper presentation at INAC-4 conference by ISSE and ISRO held at SAC, ISRO, Ahmedabad in September 2019. She is an active member of the SIH Innovative Product Drive Ecosystem and has mentored students of winning teams in Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2018 and 2019. She has over 25 years of teaching experience to undergraduate and post-graduate students. She also possesses few years of industry experience. She is an active research volunteer with IIT Alumni Council since April 2020 and is working on several cutting-edge technologies in the area of ultrasound imaging and quantum computing as social initiatives of the council. She was awarded as a Distinguished Research Fellow by IIT Alumni Council on 20 Dec 2020 for her work in Holographic Imaging and AI. She is working on some research projects funded by eminent research organisations of India.
